Hello Porter Family,
I’m sorry for the late update, but we have had some changes at the NC FFA office and have had a little trouble getting the contract this year. However, I am happy to report all is well and House Party 2023 will be July 2-9 th. As usual, we can check in any time after 3:00PM.

The camp has had some major renovations this year and as of now it appears what we have called the “Kirkland Cottage” will not be available for our use. The good news is, it’s being completely rebuilt, and the early photos look like it will be a big improvement. IF it is finished before we arrive, we should be able to use it, but the camp does not anticipate that being the case. Other improvements include all the screened cabins being replaced with units that are air conditioned and have toilets and sinks. I realize these changes might change what you were expecting as far as your rooms, but I’m confident we can figure out some arrangements that hopefully will meet our needs. Let’s not forget, when we were happy to have a sleeping bag on a screened porch to sleep in!

Once we get a little closer to the dates and we see what the status of the new staff cottage is, we can finalize our rooming assignments. Please trust that the rooming committee will do their best to make everyone have a space that is workable.

So, polish off those talents, have a few practice times at the driving range and start packing for the best week of the summer.

FYI - David has updated www.PorterHouseParty.com to have updated cookdays and preliminary lodge room assignments.   Look for more emails in the future so we can assign all the new dorms and such.
