The Business Meeting was held Saturday, July 9^th, 2016

Treasurers report

Congrats to everyone making the auction a success. Total was over $2500 ($200 more than last year)

10% increase was needed because we borrowed money from Dick to be able to pay the Sysco delivery this week.

Made at least $6000.

We have already oversold the lodge & kirkland, details to follow.

The final treasurer’s report will be stored on the website prior to next HP.

BUYING FOOD IN BULK

This was the fourth year we ordered food and supplies thru Sysco.

Mac and Dick met the order at FFA center on Friday before the House Party.

KevinZ is the main contact for this starting this year (Dick coordinated the first 2 years).

KevinZ Will email and post info about quantities needed. We are still fine tuning our system.

CAMP CLEANUP

Pier was cleaned up around 5pm today. Great job. Need to leave the campground cleaner than we found it.

Everything back where it was. Please check the cabins if your kids have been playing with them.

We need to put away tables and sweep the eating hall immediately after the Business Meeting.

Sunday crew will cook in the am, then clean up and mop, and pack cooking stuff.

Lost and found should be put on ping pong tables outside.

July 4th

FFA gave us July 4^th week for 2017.

AGAIN, there are NO FIREWORKS allowed in NCFFA Center.

Several location around the lake provide really nice fireworks shows.

Plan for several shows around 9pm next year on July 4th

Making more money

There is concern that we need more ways to increase income. This year funds were so low that we needed to borrow money from Dick to pay Sysco bill upon delivery. Discussion points follow.

Melissa – Renting with a cost on top of regular lodge room rate

Chad – There were some hiccups this year where kids had a lodge room and a family needed one- in the future the original lodge renter will need to let housing committee know which days the room is available so the room can be sublet for those days

SandraA – Can I let my sibling have the room?

Chad – Rooms available should be let known so it will go in correct priority.

SandraF – Lodging committee should decide items like this

Rob – Putt Putt conf room is nice but not worth a lodge room

Mac – sell mulligans

Janet – very excited that the teens are taking such an interest in the House Party planning, volunteering and business meeting discussion.

Mona – need more active adults needed to participate in talent show
