BUYING FOOD IN BULK

This was the Fifth  year we ordered food and supplies thru Sysco. KevinZ is the main contact.

Mac, Dick, Nathan met the order at FFA center on Friday before the House Party to receive the shipment.

KevinZ Will email and post info about quantities needed.  We are still fine tuning our system.

Kevin – just a few leftovers , 50 lbs box of potatoes

Possibly should buy paper products elsewhere

Kevin is asking for bulk recipes from the group.

Would like to have the main order in 2 weeks in advance

Need better communication with head cooks as to what we ordered and who its for.

Dick – Don’t save a lot of money by using sysco.  It seems to get easier as we keep doing this. We need to be aware of the quantities that they offer so we don’t order too much

Mac - You don’t have to order any extra food from sysco.  Mainly breakfast and some lunch will be ordered and provided here for you.

Kevin - Yogurts were added this year, were a hit, still planning to order future years.

Mac – Motion to stay with Sysco at least one more year. Katie seconds, motion passed

Dick – missing book “Cooking for 50 people”, please return to Dick if you find it

Cookday costs

These will be only listed in treasurers report from now on.

Please keep in mind the following kitchen needs

-Deep thick metal pans

-Potato peelers

-Knife sharpener – (Dick volunteered to bring this)

Pier was cleaned up around 5pm today.  Great job.  Need to leave the campground cleaner than we found it.

Everything back where it was.  Please check the cabins if your kids have been playing with them.
