Howdy Porters!

I hope everyone is getting excited for HOUSEPARTY starting THIS SUNDAY!!!  My family is super excited as always to come and spend a week with our favorite people in the world. I love seeing the same excitement in my boys eyes as I felt at their age. This is better than Disney!

Just a few standard items that we try to cover every year...

Please keep gathering and making items for our Auction. This is still a major way for us to help keep our costs lower. Be creative and prepare something special that will bring in some real $$$.

Get your talents well perfected for the talent show. Talent shows are not just for the kiddos… Some of the most entertaining are by our older generations.  Also, bring your instruments for sing alongs!

Don't forget your RE-USABLE CUPS for you AND your kids!!

A few rules to review:

Remind your children about water safety- no swimming on boat side of dock.

Remind your children about bike rules- no bikes on Sunday, park at bike parking, ride counter clock wise around cabins, etc.

If you can't work on your cookday, please find someone to switch with or pitch in on days that need help.

Absolutely NO SMOKING in rooms.  There is actually NO SMOKING on the camp ground in general, so be respectful and clean up after yourselves.

Absolutely no GUNS of any sorts please.

No Fireworks. White Lake always provides a great display for us.

Good sleeping arrangements continue to be hard to find.  Please let myself or the Dorm Committee know of any days your lodge room will be vacant so we can make it available for those in need. Also note theres a $2 day per person charge for dorm and similar sleeping quarters with AC.

After 76 years of this amazing reunion, our main goals as a family are to enjoy our time together, have our kids grow up knowing their cousins, maintain a safe environment for everyone, follow the rules set by both the FFA and our family, and be respectful of each other. We can’t go wrong with these thoughts in mind. We are family, remember.

Last thought that I feel will help things move smoothly…. Make sure your kids know the rules and follow them. We aren’t paid enough as the leadership team to watch and discipline everyone’s kids, lol. If mine are screwing up, please come to me and I will handle it and we will repay the favor to you! (I say this with the utmost love)

The week is close upon us. Please feel free to contact me if you need anything that can't wait until Sunday. Can't wait for a safe fun week!

Love
